In order to reduce the risk of infection and prevent mass diseases of people with tularemia in the territory of the North-Kazakhstan region, the specialists of the Center for Disinfection of NCE carried out preventive barrier disinfestations.

On the territory of the North Kazakhstan region there are natural foci of tularemia with a risk of sporadic cases of morbidity among the population. With an increase in the number of rodents, ticks and blood-sucking insects, the activation of the epizootic process to local and various epizootics is possible. Effective preventive measures that can reduce the risk of an epidemic are carrying out pest control and rodent control, as well as acaricidal treatments aimed at reducing the number of ticks. Timely such preventive measures minimize the possibility and threat of infection of the population with tularemia.

As everyone knows, tularemia is an acute infectious disease characterized by fever, damage to the lymph nodes and other organs, depending on the entrance gate of the infection (eyes, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract).

So, in 2017, a single case of tularemia was recorded in the region. In 2018, 1 imported case, for the past period of 2019, such cases were not registered.

To date, in the region defined territory adjacent to the village. Trinity Zhambyl district, in the amount of 800 hectares. The disinfection center has already begun work on the 1st round of preventive barrier disinfestation in this territory.
